On Friday, March 6, 2020, Lake Elsinore Station Deputies responded to a call for service at the Quality Inn located on Casino Drive in the city of Lake Elsinore. Numerous concerned community members reported a vehicle in the parking lot was crashing into other vehicles.
Patrol deputies responded to the location and conducted an investigation. The investigation revealed the suspect, Miranda Sepulveda, a 19 year-old female, resident of Wildomar, had stolen a vehicle. While fleeing the location, she struck the owner of the vehicle (causing injuries) and collided with several other vehicles. The suspect, Miranda Sepulveda, fled the scene prior to the deputies arrival. The Lake Elsinore Stations Problem Oriented Policing Team received the information and immediately assumed the investigation from patrol.
About 1100 hours, the Problem Oriented Policing Team located the suspect, Miranda Sepulveda, in the area of Lowell Street and Lakeshore Drive in the city of Lake Elsinore. Miranda Sepulveda was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon / Vehicle Theft then transported and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center in the City of Murrieta.
