On February 21, 2020, at approximately 10:30 A.M., deputies from the Perris Station responded to a reported vehicle burglary in the 1600 block of Topaz Drive, in the city of Perris.  The reporting party, noticed a male subject pulling the door handles of multiple vehicles on the street.  A second reporting party, reported his vehicle had been burglarized and he advised the direction of where the suspect ran to.  

Deputies responded to the area and located the suspect.  A short foot pursuit ensued, and the suspect was detained.  The suspect was found to be in possession of stolen items and burglary tools. The suspect, later identified as Trayvon Edward Freeman, 19 years old from the city of Perris, was later transported to a local hospital for a medical clearance prior to being booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center for Resisting Arrest, Theft, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
