On February 13, 2020, at 12:12 PM, The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team located Daniel Arellano, 24-years-old of Indio, in the 78900 block of Highway 111, in the city of La Quinta. Arellano was wanted for questioning regarding a felony evading case and an outstanding Post Release Community Supervision warrant. Arellano was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, property believed to be fraudulently purchased, and a credit card bearing a different subjects name on it was located.  The team conducted a follow-up investigation and determined Arellano used the credit card to fraudulently purchase items from a local business. The owner of the credit card was identified and contacted. It was determined the credit card was stolen during an unreported vehicle burglary in the unincorporated area of Palm Desert at approximately 3:30 AM. The team later located the suspect vehicle, a 2008 gray Nissan Altima in the 78300 block of Varner Road, Palm Desert. The vehicle was towed to the Thermal Station as evidence. A search warrant was authored for the vehicle and served. Additional stolen property was located. Arellano was booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio.

The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team is asking anyone with additional information to contact Deputy Preciado at the Thermal Sheriff’s Station by calling (760)-863-8990.
