Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station to host Community Oriented Policing Zone meeting on February 27, 2020
On Thursday, February 27, 2020, Deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station and community members will come together to discuss community issues and continue to build positive relationships. All community members are invited to attend; however, the focus of the meeting will cover Zone 3 and 4 community issues. Zone 3 is bordered by Alessandro Blvd. on the north, Lasselle Street on the east, Harley Knox Blvd. on the south, and March Air Reserve Base on the west. Zone 4 encompasses eastern Moreno Valley, east of Lasselle Street and south of State Highway 60. The event is scheduled from 6-8 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, 22850 Calle San Juan de Los Lagos, Moreno Valley.
The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station is committed to enhancing the delivery of quality service to the community we serve. The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station’s goal is to educate residents on community-oriented policing and how officers and the community can work together in creating safer neighborhoods. This meeting will give residents an opportunity to voice their concerns and meet with station representatives.
A Zone Deployment System, which is derived from community oriented policing principles, represents the organizational and management methodology to meet these challenges. The principles and practices of community-oriented policing is utilized within all areas serviced by the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station. The zone policing program aims to advance the practice of community-oriented policing through improving relationships between Deputies and community members.
