On Friday, February 7, 2020, investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET), along with members of the Perris Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team (SET), served a search warrant at a residence in the 18000 block of Markham Avenue in an unincorporated area of Riverside County. The search warrant was authored in response to numerous citizen complaints regarding an illegal marijuana cultivation at the residence. Upon arrival, investigators and deputies located several large enclosed structures containing approximately 772 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Additionally, more than 200 pounds of processed marijuana was located inside a residence on the same property.
Four subjects were arrested for illegal marijuana cultivation in conjunction with this investigation:
- Simon Lubiano, 41 years-old from Riverside
- Eugeno Gomez-Martinez, 27 years-old from Riverside
- Abdy Rivas, 21 years-old from Riverside
- Oscar Rivas, 59 years-old from Riverside
