On February 5, 2020, at the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, personnel from the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team, with the assistance of Riverside County Code Enforcement, served a marijuana cultivation search warrant in the 37000 Block of River Oats Lane. As a result of the search warrant, 1425 marijuana plants were eradicated. In addition, the electrical system within the residence was illegally altered, causing a severe fire hazard. Southern California Edison employees responded to the location and rendered the hazard safe. Southern California Edison valued the total theft of utilities at $202,333.
Bixiang Dong (39-year-old) a resident from Queens, New York, was arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for the illegal cultivation of marijuana and theft of utilities
The goal of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to improve the quality of life for those residing within the community. “Community Policing” involves partnerships between law enforcement and community members.
