On January 9, 2020 at approximately 2100 hours, members of the Murrieta / Temecula Regional Gang Task Force and the Temecula Riverside Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted a probation search at a Temecula motel. Several occupants were detained inside a room. James Schidner, a documented criminal street gang member was found in possession of a sales quantity of heroin and methamphetamine. Another occupant identified as Kapena Bustamente was found in possession of a sales quantity of methamphetamine. Three other subjects in the room were arrested on a variety of charges including warrants and being under the influence of a controlled substance. GTF and SET Detectives seized over an ounce of combined heroin and methamphetamine.
