At the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, from December 10th through December 13, 2019, deputies assigned to the Perris Station Problem Oriented Policing Team conducted a “Zero Tolerance” saturation operation in the business district area of Downtown Perris. The purpose of this operation was to address citizen and business owner complaints regarding subjects who were committing various criminal offenses in the area, which negatively impacted business operations. During this operation, a total of 20 violators were arrested for various criminal offenses and booked into jail. Deputies also provided resources for those experiencing homelessness, substance abuse or in need of mental health services.
