On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, multiple agencies conducted a sexual offender compliance sweep at multiple locations within the city of Moreno Valley. Assisting agencies consisted of the Moreno Valley Investigations Bureau, Moreno Valley Special Enforcement Team, Moreno Valley Community Services, Jurupa Valley Special Enforcement Team, Lake Matthews Investigations Bureau and Special Enforcement Team, Perris Special Enforcement Team, Special Enforcement Bureau – K9 Team, US Marshals, RCCET – Riverside County Child Exploitation Team, CDCR Parole – California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Riverside County Probation, and the Riverside County District Attorney’s office.

Compliance was conducted on a total of 68 locations, with approximately 115 registrants. As a result of this operation, 13 arrests were made. The following subjects were arrested for parole violation and other charges:

  • Alfred Flores – 29-year-old male
  • David Aday – 65-year-old male
  • James Perkins - 41-year-old male
  • Roy Esquivel-40-year-old male
  • Prince Ikenador – 25-year-old male
  • Kevin Maus – 58-year-old male
  • Selwyn Injety – 42-year-old male
  • Jason Amie – 42-year-old male
  • Jarrod Jackson – 31-year-old male
  • Sean Taylor – 28-year-old male
  • Tristen Smith – 34-year-old male
  • Timothy Barber – 46-year-old male
  • Taye Dada – 30-year-old male

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office aggressively pursues prosecution of those sex registrants who fail to comply with their registration requirements. The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station will be conducting similar sweeps on an ongoing basis to verify that registered sex offenders are living at their reported residences and in compliance with state requirements pursuant to California Penal Code section 290.

Residents of Riverside County can visit the Megan’s Law website familiarize themselves with the sex registrants in their community.
