Details: 

On November 19, 2019, at approximately 8:16 A.M., deputies from the Perris Station responded to the report of medical aid at the 21000 block of Gregg Road, in the unincorporated area of Mead Valley. Upon their arrival, deputies and medical personnel attempted life-saving measures on the male subject.  The subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

While at the location, deputies located a large illegal marijuana grow operation. Approximately 700 marijuana plants in various stages of growth were located.  At the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department - Marijuana Eradication Team responded and removed the plants.  No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

The goal of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to keep all of our citizens safe while also improving the quality of life for those residing within the community. Marijuana cultivation negatively impacts the environment in many ways including diminishing and poisoning the water table and pesticides adversely affecting the health of neighboring residents. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has a zero-tolerance policy for these offenses. If you suspect drug activity in your area, please contact your local Sheriff’s Station.
