Murrieta, Calif. –On August 4, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Southwest Station Traffic Team conducted a court sting operation at the Southwest Justice Center. The traffic court calendar for the day was used to identify individuals who are currently unlicensed, or their privileges were suspended / revoked.
Plain clothed deputies watched these individuals leave the court room and make the choice to get behind the wheel and drive. Uniformed deputies conducted traffic enforcement stops and confirmed the following individuals did not have valid licenses to operate a motor vehicle.
During this operation five vehicles were towed, and six citations were issued.
- Kayla Thi Le, 25 years old, resident of Murrieta
- Aaron Warpole, 43 years old, resident of Lake Elsinore
- Jose Lopez, 26 years old, resident of West Covina
- Carl Prescott, 38 years old, resident of French Valley
- Luis Virgilio, 42 years old, resident of Perris
- John Deleon, 53 years old, resident of Bellflower
The Southwest Station Traffic Team would like to remind the public not to operate a motor vehicle unless properly licensed with valid registration and insurance.
