File # Multiple
On June 9, 2023, the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team, with the assistance of the Riverside Police Department, Riverside County Probation, California Department of Corrections – Parole, Riverside County Post Release Accountability and Compliance Team, Gang Task Force, and various Riverside Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Teams participated in a Quality-of-Life operation within the city of Moreno Valley. The mission was to conduct proactive patrol of high criminal activity areas as well as the apprehension of subjects committing criminal offenses. This was a zero-tolerance event. In total, 66 subjects were arrested for various offenses, including illegal possession of a firearm, possession of drugs including heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. Subjects were also arrested for outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants. All subjects arrested were processed at the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, then booked at either the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside or the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
This event would not have been possible without the cooperative efforts of our allied agencies within Riverside County. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is committed to protecting the citizens of Riverside County and will continue to carry out these types of operations to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Moreno Valley and the communities we serve.
