On February 14, 2023, approximately 7:00 PM, Riverside Sheriff’s Southwest Station deputies responded to a business in the 40800 block of Winchester Road in the City of Temecula, reference an attempted robbery. It was learned the suspect approached the victim and attempted to take his property at knifepoint. A bystander who was recording the incident startled the suspect and the victim was able to get away without being harmed.

The Southwest Station’s Robbery/Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) responded and assumed the investigation. Members of RBST positively identified the suspect as Suukat Harvey, a 20-year-old resident of Valley Center. On March 9, 2023, Harvey was located near the 54000 Block of Golsh Road in Valley Center. Harvey was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
