File # TE230040183
Details:
On January 4, 2023, at approximately 7:37 PM, Southwest Station deputies responded to a business in the 40800 block of Winchester Road in the City of Temecula, reference a male who stole merchandise from the location totaling over $2,000.00. The suspect fled in a white Chrysler 300 sedan before deputies arrived.
The Southwest Station’s Robbery/Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) assumed the investigation and began following all leads. During the investigation, it was learned the same suspect was responsible for additional thefts from businesses in the City of Temecula and San Bernardino County. Members of RBST positively identified the suspect as Fredrick Ware, a 44-year old resident of Indio. On January 27, 2023, RBST located Ware near the 81800 block of Avenida Del Mar in the City of Indio. Ware was taken into custody without incident and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center for multiple theft related charges. A search warrant was served on Ware’s residence where clothing and additional items of evidentiary value were located linking him to the commercial burglaries.
It is believed Ware is responsible for additional thefts that have yet to be reported. Anyone with information related to this case or aware of additional thefts involving Ware is encouraged to contact Deputy Alfonso Valadez of the Southwest Station RBST Team at (951) 696-3000.
