The procession and funeral services for Deputy Isaiah Cordero are as follows:
Friday, January 6, 2023
Approximately 10:30 AM – Procession begins from Acheson & Graham Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside. Members of the public are welcome to line the streets in support. The procession will end at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 6115 Arlington Avenue, Riverside.
Procession Route:
- Eastbound Magnolia Avenue from the mortuary parking lot
- Continue eastbound on Magnolia Avenue to Madison Street
- Turn left, northbound, onto Madison Street
- Turn left, westbound, onto Arlington Avenue
- Turn right, northbound, onto Urban Street
- Continue on Urban Street which leads into the church parking lot.

11:00 AM – A memorial service will be held at Harvest Christian Fellowship Church, 6115 Arlington Avenue, Riverside
No Media will be allowed inside the venue. Media will be permitted to run a feed directly from a designated distribution area on the east side of the campus.
The services will be live streamed on Riverside County Sheriff’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

Details:
The Department is saddened to announce the death of Deputy Isaiah Cordero, most recently assigned to the Jurupa Valley Station. Deputy Cordero was shot and killed in the line of duty on Thursday, December 29, 2022.
On May 5, 2014, Deputy Cordero began his service with our Department as a Correctional Deputy and graduated from the 73rd Core Academy. During his time as a Correctional Deputy, he worked assignments at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility and the Indio Jail. In February 2018, he began the 204th Basic Academy and was promoted to Deputy Sheriff. As a Deputy, he worked at the Robert Presley Detention Center and the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility before transferring to his current assignment at the Jurupa Valley Station. Deputy Cordero completed Motor School in September of 2022 and was working traffic enforcement as a motor deputy at the time of his death.
On behalf of the entire Department, we extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Deputy Isaiah Cordero.
Funeral services for Deputy Cordero have been scheduled as follows:
Friday, January 6, 2023 – 11:00 AM at Harvest Christian Fellowship Church, 6115 Arlington Avenue Riverside, CA 92504
Interment services will be private – not open to the public.
