On Monday, November 7, 2022, at 12:46 PM, deputies from the Thermal Station responded to a storage facility in the 46600 Block of Adams Street in the city of La Quinta regarding multiple storage units burglarized, resulting in the loss of approximately $20,000 in stolen property. During the investigation, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team identified one of the suspects as Cristina Rocha, a 44-year-old resident of Indio. 

On Monday, December 5, 2022, the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team located Rocha in the 49900 Block of Cesar Chavez in the city of Coachella and she was taken into custody without incident. Rocha was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center.

On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant in the 46200 Block of Calhoun Street in the city of Indio. During the service of the search warrant, property belonging to some of the victims was located and recovered.
