On March 27, 2022, at 1:36 p.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on the 21000 block of Cottonwood Ave., in Moreno Valley. Upon arriving, deputies located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. A crime scene was secured, the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification. The investigation is on-going.
