Details:

On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, about 1:38 A.M., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Jurupa Valley Station, responded to the report of a fatal hit and run traffic collision at Van Buren Boulevard north of Clay Street, in the city of Jurupa Valley. Deputies and American Medical Response arrived on-scene and located the pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the location and assumed the investigation. At this time, it remains unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.

Both directions of Van Buren Boulevard in between Clay Street and Limonite Avenue were closed for the duration of the investigation. The identity of the deceased will not be released pending further investigation and the notification to the next of kin.
