On Friday, March 4, 2022, at 8:30 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force served a search warrant at a residence located in the 82000 block of Valencia Avenue in Indio. During the service of the search warrant, Gang Task Force Officers located two 9mm semi-automatic handguns and one .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun. Two of the handguns were unserialized firearms commonly referred to as “Ghost Guns.” Gang Task Force Officers arrested documented criminal street gang member, Ike Cardenas, 20 of Indio for Prohibited Person with a Firearm and Possession of an Unserialized Firearm. Also arrested was Jacob Cardenas, 21 of Coachella for Possession of an Unserialized Firearm. Both suspects were transported to the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio where they were booked.
