On November 12, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., members of the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), served a search warrant at two residences and one business, located in the 52-300 block of Avenida Obregon, La Quinta, the 40-300 block of Washington Street, Bermuda Dunes, and the 83-300 block of Highway 111, Indio. 

The search warrant steamed from a commercial burglary which occurred in the city of Coachella at a Cannabis manufacturing company on August 17,2021. During the search warrant 3,815 pre rolled marijuana cigarettes (38 pounds), 39 grams of methamphetamine, one pound of processed marijuana, a mason jar of honey oil cannabis, and items indicative of narcotic sales were seized and collected. A stolen vehicle used to commit the burglary was also located and recovered. 

James Obrien, 39 of La Quinta, was arrested for burglary, possession of cannabis for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of a fake federal identification card, vehicle theft, and committing a felony while out on bail. James Obrien was booked at John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio.
