On October 30, 2021, at about 12:11 p.m., deputies assigned to the Moreno Valley Station were dispatched to a report of a found human body, in the open hills east of the 7400 block of Reche Canyon Rd. Upon arrival, deputies located the decedent. The scene was secured, and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. On October 31, 2021, the scene was processed, and the decedent was removed from the scene by the Coroner’s Office.

On November 2, 2021, the autopsy was completed and due to trauma found on the victim, this case will be investigated as a homicide. The victim is believed to be a male adult, unknown age or race, with medium length black hair. The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
