Details:

On Friday, October 22, 2021, at 12:00 P.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted a probation check at a residence located in the 31000 block of Las Flores Way in Thousand Palms. During the probation check Gang Task Force Officers located two 9mm semi-auto handguns, ammunition, suspected methamphetamine and military issued body armor. Gang Task Force Officers arrested convicted felon and documented criminal street gang member Jose Cervantes, 30 of Thousand Palms for Felon in Possession of Firearms, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Felon in Possession of Body Armor, Possession of Narcotics with a Loaded Firearm and Violation of Probation Cervantes was subsequently booked at John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
