Moreno Valley, Ca — The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Moreno Valley Station’s Traffic Team, received numerous complaints regarding loud vehicles with modified exhaust and vehicles engaged in street racing throughout the city of Moreno Valley. • 22 Total Traffic Stops for Various Violations, Including Three for Modified Exhaust
  • 21 Citations Issued
  • 3 In-Field Vehicle Inspections Performed
  • 1 Arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
  • 1 Arrest for Reckless Driving
  • 1 Arrest for an Outstanding Warrant
  • 1 Arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • 2 Vehicles Towed and Stored
  • 2 Vehicles Towed and Impounded

Drivers charged with street racing related offenses face having their vehicle impounded for 30 days and maybe subjected to fines and penalties as imposed by the court.   For further information regarding street racing and vehicle modifications, or concerns about the legality of certain vehicle modifications, residents would be encouraged to call Deputy Bechtold of the Moreno Valley Station’s Traffic Team at (951) 486-6700.
