Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) conducted further investigation regarding several commercial burglaries that occurred between the dates of May 5, 2021 and August 9, 2021 within the city of Palm Desert. While conducting further investigation on a burglary that occurred on June 23, 2021 in the 42000 block of Idaho Street, BSU members identified the suspect responsible for the burglaries as, Jimmy Paul Williams, 46 years of Palm Springs.
On August 20, 2021 Williams was located by BSU in the 11000 block of San Jacinto Street, Morongo Valley. With the assistance of the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, Williams was arrested for the numerous burglaries and several outstanding warrants. Williams was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio.
