Details:

On August 1, 2021, about 4:47 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Southwest Station, responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision near Ronald Reagan Sports Park in the city of Temecula. A Chevrolet left the roadway and collided with a tree. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries.

Accident Investigators from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station responded to the location and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed the Chevrolet lost control while traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed on Rancho Vista Road. The vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a tree. It is unknown if intoxication played a role in this collision.

The identity of the involved parties will not be released pending further investigation and the notification to the next of kin.
