On Thursday, April 15, 2021, uniformed deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department – Perris Station, accompanied by City of Perris Code Enforcement, served a marijuana cultivation related search warrant in the 900 block of Mapes Road, City of Perris. During the service, 319 marijuana plants and approximately seven pounds of processed marijuana were eradicated. One rifle and several rounds of ammunition were collected as evidence. Kevin Santos, a 26-year-old Perris City resident was arrested at the location on felony charges.
The goal of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to keep all of our citizens safe while also improving the quality of life for those residing within the community. Marijuana cultivation negatively impacts the environment in many ways including diminishing and poisoning the water table and pesticides adversely affecting the health of neighboring residents.
