Update:

Upon further investigation the decedent was identified as Jason Eilola-Coye a 19-year-old male from the City of Murrieta. The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station is asking for the public’s help with any information on Eilola-Coye’s whereabouts prior to Sunday, March 14, 2021. At this time no foul play is suspected. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Investigator Poznanski at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station at (951) 245-3300. This investigation is on-going.
Details:
On Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 5:02 PM, Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station responded to the area of Vacation Drive and Old Wrangler Road, Canyon Lake, regarding a report of a deceased male floating in the lake.
Investigators from the Lake Elsinore Station responded to the location and assumed the investigation. The identity of the decedent has not been made at this time.
