Details:
Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) conducted further investigation regarding a commercial burglary that occurred on February 04, 2021 in the 73000 block of Country Club Drive, Palm Desert. The suspect in this investigation forced his way into an adjacent vacant business, where he removed a portion of the interior wall, which led him into another business. The suspect took numerous collectable coins, collectable knifes and non-functional firearms.
On February 24, 2021, an additional commercial burglary occurred in the 42000 block of Washington Street, Palm Desert. The suspect was arrested just minutes after the burglary. The suspect, Eugene Little, 55 years of Riverside was arrested and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio.
BSU members conducted further follow-up and was able to connect Little to the burglary that occurred in the 73000 block of Country Club Drive, Palm Desert, on February 04, 2021. On February 24, 2021, BSU members located and interviewed Little in the 82000 block of Highway 111, Indio. Little admitted to committing the burglary on February 4, 2021. Additionally, Little stated he still had all the property which was taken from this burglary, at his residence in Riverside. Little was arrested and booked back in at the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio.
On February 26, 2021, Little, who was no longer in-custody gave BSU members all the outstanding property related to this case. All the property which was taken in the burglary was released back to the business owner.
