On Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 8:16pm, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, San Jacinto Station, responded to a major injury traffic collision, near the intersection of Ramona Expressway and 7th St. in the City of San Jacinto. Deputies arrived at the scene within minutes and located a collision involving five vehicles. One occupant in a black Nissan Armada and two occupants in a white Kia Optima were pronounced deceased at the scene. A third occupant in the Kia Optima was transported to Riverside University Health System (RUHS) in critical condition and later succumbed to her injuries. The identities of the deceased are not being released at this time. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision. The investigation is on-going.
The San Jacinto Traffic Reconstruction Team responded to the scene of the collision and assumed the investigation.
