Details:
On February 4, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), served a search warrant at a residence in the 51-900 block of Calle Techa in the city of Coachella. The search warrant stemmed from a weapons investigation CCAT was conducting. During the search warrant service, a loaded handgun was located and seized. Documented gang member Francisco Villanueva, 18 of Coachella, was arrested for possession of a prohibited firearm and committing a felony while out on bail. Villanueva was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio.
