On January 25, 2021, at 8:26 AM, Moreno Valley Station deputies were dispatched to the 23000 block of Ironwood Ave. city of Moreno Valley, regarding a robbery. The suspect entered the location armed with a large knife, demanded money, assaulted the victim and forced the victim to open a safe. The suspect fled the location in an unknown direction. Deputies canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect or a suspect vehicle. Members of the Moreno Valley Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) immediately began working the case and collecting items of evidentiary value.
Through assistance from the public, as well as the Moreno Valley Citywide Camera System, the suspect was identified as Justin Thrash (34) of Moreno Valley. With the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) , RBST members served a search warrant at Thrash’s residence located in the 25000 block of Gloria Ave., city of Moreno Valley. Several items related to the robbery were located and Thrash along with a second suspect, Donna Figueroa (52) of Moreno Valley were taken into custody without incident.
