On December 29, 2020, around 10:48 AM, deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Elsinore Station, responded to a roll over traffic collision on State Hwy. 74 and Rosetta Canyon Dr. Deputies arrived within minutes and located two overturned vehicles with one person trapped inside of one of the involved vehicles. Cal Fire arrived and immediately began working to extricate the trapped individual. Cal Fire was able to remove the individual who was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries.
It was later determined the individual sustained a fractured neck in the collision. The Lake Elsinore Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the collision at this time. Preliminary investigation revealed the injured driver was traveling north on Rosetta Canyon Dr. approaching State Hwy. 74 and made a u-turn in front of another vehicle, causing both vehicles to collide and overturn.
