Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) conducted further investigation regarding several vehicle burglaries that occurred between the dates of April 26, 2020 to December 02, 2020, in the communities of Palm Desert and Thousand Palms. BSU identified Scott Stoltz, 30 years of Desert Hot Springs, as a suspect for his involvement in the multiple burglaries. On December 17, 2020, BSU members located and arrested Stoltz in the 18000 block of Langlois Road, in the unincorporated area of Desert Hot Springs. During his arrest, Stoltz was in possession numerous items of stolen property, linking him to seven separate burglaries. Stoltz was transported and booked at the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio.
