On Wednesday, November 18th, 2020, at 8:30 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop in the 22000 block of Alessandro Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted, Jontai McNair, a 21-year-old resident of Moreno Valley. Deputies discovered McNair was on probation for possession of a stolen vehicle. A subsequent probation search of McNair’s vehicle revealed a loaded P80 9mm semi-automatic handgun and a loaded .40 caliber Smith and Wesson M&P inside of the vehicle.
McNair was taken into custody and charged with being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Concealed Firearm in a Vehicle, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, and Probation Violation. McNair is also currently out on bail for a felony assault with a firearm. Since McNair continues to pose a risk to the public deputies requested a bail enhancement.
