Details:
On November 15, 2019, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station-Traffic Division responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian-injury collision. The suspect vehicle left the scene, leaving behind two pedestrians in the roadway with injuries. The suspect vehicle was located ½ mile from the scene, along with a passenger who was in the vehicle at the time of the collision. The passenger willingly cooperated in the investigation and the driver was identified as, Rosalio Loera, a 62year-old resident of Jurupa Valley. Deputies searched for Loera at his last known addresses, to no avail. On Sunday November 15, 2020, Loera was identified as being involved in another hit and run collision. A current address for Loera was obtained and a records check of Loera revealed a felony warrant was issued for Loera for the hit and run injury collision in 2019. He was later contacted at the address in Jurupa Valley by deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station and placed under arrest for the warrant. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for felony hit and run. Loera is being held on $75,000 bail.
