Update:

Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit have continued to follow up on all leads related to the murder of Blake Paine which occurred on November 8, 2020 in Lake Elsinore. On December 16, 2020, a second suspect, Bryan Richard King, a 21 year old from Carson, was arrested and charged with robbery and murder for his involvement in Paine’s death. A third suspect is also believed to have been involved and investigators are continuing to work all viable leads. Anyone with information related to Blake Paine’s murder is encouraged to call Investigator Trudeau at 951-955-2777.

On November 9th, 2020, at 1:00 pm, Joshua Emanuel Navarro, an 18 year old male from Lake Elsinore, was arrested for his involvement in the murder of Blake Paine. Investigators are continuing to work all leads and believe there may be additional suspects outstanding. Anyone with information related to the murder of Blake Paine is encouraged to contact Investigator Trudeau with the Central Homicide Unit at 951-955-2777.

Details:

On November 8th, 2020, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station responded to the 100 block of Riley Street to investigate a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they located an adult male who appeared to have been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The victim was identified as Blake Paine, a 19-year old male from Wildomar.

Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit and the Lake Elsinore Station were notified and have assumed the investigation. The suspect(s) fled the area prior to deputies arrival and are still outstanding.
