On November 8, 2020, approximately 5:25pm, deputies from Perris Station responded to a stabbing at a restaurant located on the 400 block of 4th Street, Perris. Deputies arrived within minutes and found an adult male restaurant employee who suffered multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive his injuries.

Witness statements lead to a suspect who had boarded a Riverside Transit Authority (RTA) bus traveling toward Hemet. The bus was located and the suspect, identified as 25-year-old, Lonnie Hinton, of Perris, was placed under arrest. He was later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center where he is currently held on a $25,000 bail.
