Details:

On Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at 5:19 PM, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team deputies served a theft related search warrant at the 79000 block of Kara Court, La Quinta, in connection to a series of thefts in the community. During the search warrant service, deputies located stolen property and evidence items linked to the thefts. Derek Oakley, 18 of La Quinta, was arrested for several theft incidents and additional charges will be sought pending further investigation on the stolen property. Oakley was booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center.
