On Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 9:47 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop in the 24000 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted, Alejandro Adan, a 22-year-old resident Moreno Valley inside the vehicle. Deputies determined Adan was on probation for possession of a firearm. A subsequent search of Adan’s vehicle revealed a loaded 5.7 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
Deputies later discovered the handgun was stolen. Adan was taken into custody and charged with being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Concealed Firearm in a Vehicle, Possession of a Loaded Firearm in Public, and Probation Violation. Adan was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
