Update:
On September 29, 2020, at approximately 5:00 pm, Corona Police Department received a call for service regarding two male subjects who were asleep in a vehicle blocking the roadway. During their contact, the driver, Miguel Angel Ochoa, was identified and arrested for his outstanding warrant. Ochoa was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for the murder of Martinez.

On September 17, 2020, Carlos Alvarez, a 25 year old male from Hemet, was arrested for his role in the murder of Dean Michael Vincent Martinez. A second suspect, Miguel Angel Ochoa, a 37 year old male, is currently outstanding and wanted for his involvement in Martinez’ murder. Ochoa has a felony warrant for murder and was last seen driving a 2010 Lincoln MKX with California license plate 8PCK117 in the Hemet/San Jacinto area. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the publics help in locating Ochoa. Ochoa is believed to be armed and dangerous. This is an on-going investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Investigator Deanne with the Central Homicide Unit at 951-955-2777.

On Saturday, September 12, 2020, deputies from the Hemet Station responded to the area of Gilman Springs and Highway 79 to investigate a report of a dead body. When deputies arrived, they located a deceased adult male who appeared to have been shot. The victim was later identified as Dean Michael Vincent Martinez, a 20 year old from Hemet. Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit and the Hemet Station were notified and have assumed the investigation. The suspect(s) are currently outstanding.
