On September 3, 2020, a joint enforcement operation was conducted in the San Jacinto Valley. Operation Heatwave, consisted of saturation patrol, attempt warrant services, and compliance checks on subjects on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS), Mandatory Supervision, Parole, and Probation.  

The following agencies/teams participated in the operation:

The Riverside County Gang Task Force is a collaborative effort of several law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs. Operation Heatwave consisted of 51 compliance checks on those individuals on Parole, Probation, PRCS, and Mandatory Supervision. Law enforcement personnel also conducted numerous enforcement stops. The following items were recovered as a result of the operation:

A stolen vehicle, a large quantity of methamphetamine, 4 handguns, numerous rounds of ammunition, items consistent of drug sales, US currency, and illegal dangerous weapons were seized. 

A total of 29 individuals were arrested, including a suspect involved in a sexual assault.
