Details:

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Moreno Valley Station is planning a motorcycle safety training event on Saturday, September 19, 2020.  The event will take place at the Moreno Valley mall, located at 22500 Town Circle, City of Moreno Valley and will start promptly at 8:00 AM.  This event is called “Ride to Live” and is intended to help civilian motorcycle riders become safer and more confident.  Participating riders will learn the following:

  • Proper manipulation of clutch and throttle in order to work the “friction zone”
  • Proper use of head and eyes when turning a motorcycle
  • Counter steering
  • Negotiating curves
  • Low speed precision maneuvering

The “Ride to Live” instructors will be certified law enforcement motorcycle instructors from the Moreno Valley Station’s Traffic Team.   

Requirements:

  • Have a valid M-1 (motorcycle) license and insurance.
  • Have basic riding skills (this class is not intended for those who have no riding experience).
  • Bring your own motorcycle, D.O.T. helmet, gloves, eye protection and footwear that covers the ankles.
  • Sign a liability waiver (provided at training).
  • Have a desire to improve your overall riding skills.

Class size is limited to 25 riders so please make your reservation as soon as possible, we look forward to seeing you there!

Funding for this motorcycle safety training program will be provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
