Deputies responded to a reported shooting near the 25000 block of Sunnymead Blvd., in the city of Moreno Valley, at 1:25 pm, on September 2, 2020. On arrival, deputies learned that those involved had fled the area. The investigation revealed that unknown suspects arrived at the location in a dark color sedan and fired multiple shots from the passenger side before fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed. While fleeing the area, a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle was involved in a traffic collision. After the collision, the suspects fled the area in an unknown type vehicle and have not yet been identified. At this time no victims have been verified.
