Details:
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Southwest Station conducted a Traffic Enforcement Saturation patrol on August 19, 2020, in the city of Temecula. The patrol targeted unsafe drivers throughout the city of Temecula from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am.
Deputies made 55 traffic stops for various violations, wrote 17 traffic citations, conducted 3 field sobriety tests, made one arrest for driving on a suspended driver’s license, and made one arrest for driving under the influence.
The traffic saturation patrol targeted unsafe drivers to help prevent and reduce the number of traffic collisions within the city of Temecula.
Traffic Safety Saturation patrol will continue throughout the year to help reduce the number of traffic collisions and ensure the safety of the motoring public.
Funding for this Saturation Patrol was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
