The warrant was the culmination of a month-long investigation regarding identity theft and manufacturing of fraudulent credit cards. Prior to the warrant service, Investigators from the US Department of Labor and the Employment Development Department were contacted to assist with the investigation.

During the warrant service deputies arrested Edward Hernandez a 31-year-old San Jacinto resident.  Seized at the residence were devices used to manufacture fraudulent identification cards and fraudulent credit cards.  These seized devices include a card embossing machine, a device used to encode / re-encode the magnetic stripe of credit cards, printers used to manufacture fraudulent identifications, and fraudulent credit cards.
