On Sunday, July 12, 2020, Lawson Blanchette committed suicide while officers from the Idaho Falls Police Department in Idaho attempted to take him into custody for the outstanding arrest warrant. No additional details are available at this time.
During the follow up investigation into the murder of Marie Hannah, investigators were able to identify the suspect responsible for her death. An arrest warrant for murder has been issued for Lawson Blanchett, 61 years old of San Jacinto. The public is encouraged to call 911 if they see Blanchett and report his whereabouts. Please do not attempt to contact Blanchett.
On Sunday, July 5, 2020, at 9:30 PM, deputies from the San Jacinto Station responded to a call of a deceased female inside of a residence in the 600 Block of Groveside Dr. in the city of San Jacinto. Upon arrival they located a female deceased with injuries.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The deceased female has been identified as Marie Hannah, 47 years old out of San Jacinto.
