On Wednesday, May 13th, 2020, at 7:31 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team Gang Unit conducted a traffic stop in the 22800 block of Allies Place, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle, Dayvinta Robinson, an 18-year-old resident of Moreno Valley. Deputies determined Robinson did not possess a driver’s license. A subsequent inventory search of Robinson’s vehicle revealed a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun between the driver’s seat and center console. Deputies later discovered the handgun was stolen. Robinson was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Loaded Stolen Firearm, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Loaded Firearm in a Vehicle, and Prohibited Person in Possession of a Loaded Firearm.
