On Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at approximately 11:15 P.M., deputies from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to the 800 Block of Minor St., in the City of San Jacinto, in reference to a subject suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is currently in critical condition. Investigation revealed 37-year-old San Jacinto resident Fernando Garcia had been involved in an argument with the victim. Garcia struck the victim in the head with a handgun and shot the victim in the back. Garcia then fled the location in his vehicle.
On Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at approximately 2:30 P.M., Garcia was taken into custody with the assistance of the District Attorney’s Gang Impact Team. Garcia was arrested and booked for Attempted Homicide. Garcia’s vehicle has also been located.
