On May 6, 2020, personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, California Department of Fish and Wildlife and Riverside County Code Enforcement served six marijuana cultivation related search warrants in the unincorporated county areas of Aguanga and Anza. During the service, approximately 4005 plants were eradicated and 165 pounds of processed marijuana was collected, for a total combined weight of approximately three tons. Three firearms, (two rifles including an AR-15 and one shotgun), as well as over $35,000 were collected for evidence.

The following suspects were arrested for Marijuana Cultivation:

  • 51-year-old Anza resident Eva Yu
  • 47-year-old Anza resident Jianmou Huang
  • 44-year-old Anza resident Sin Sun
  • 53-year-old Orange resident Lishen Xue
  • 32-year-old Merced resident Youa Thao
  • 39-year-old Fresno resident William Xiong
  • 76-year-old Anza resident Carol Drake (Charges filed out of custody) 
  • 55-year-old Anza resident Robert Drewry (Charges filed out of custody)
