Details:
Palm Desert Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) conducted further investigation regarding several burglaries and vehicle thefts that occurred throughout the Coachella Valley over the past several weeks. BSU identified Tre Michael Sutherland, 25 years old, from Thousand Palms, as a suspect for his involvement in these crimes. On May 1, 2020 at 1200 hours, BSU located and arrested Sutherland, in the 72000 block of Varner Road, in Thousand Palms. During his arrest, Sutherland was in possession of a stolen loaded .45 caliber Springfield XDS handgun, ammunition, stolen property, narcotics, paraphernalia, and burglary tools. Sutherland also had a warrant for his arrest in Riverside County for illegal controlled substances. Additionally, Sutherland had a Felony Warrant for Evading a Peace Officer out of the State of Washington. Sutherland, who is a convicted felon, was booked in the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
